Erik Höglund started working with the smith Axel Strömgren in the late 1950s. The cooperation led to the start of the Boda Smide in 1962. Over the next 11 years, Erik designed many hundreds metal artworks for the company. They were often made of hand-forged iron with decorative details in clear, blue, or brown glass. The expression was joyous, rustic, and folksy.
