An Overview of Raija Uosikkinen’s Christmas Plates
Raija Uosikkinen (1923–2004) designed many classics for the Arabia company. One of the most well-known series is Joululautanen (Christmas Plate) from 1978 to 1989. Every year, a new wall plaque was launched with a round form and printed winter motif in blue, white, and golden color scheme. They are made of earthenware with a diameter of diameter 23 cm.
