An Overview of Gunnel Sahlin’s Frutteria Series
Gunnel Sahlin (1954–) has designed many classics for the Swedish Kosta Boda glassworks. One of the most well-known series is Frutteria from 1989. It consists of a large number of objects with a common fruit theme: bottles, bowls, candleholders, dishes, goblets, pitchers, sculptures, and vases. They were crafted by hand with swelling shapes, strong colors, and added parts. The series was in production until 2002. Which of Gunnel’s Frutteria objects is your favorite?
