An Overview of Lars Thorén’s Polaris Series
Lars Thorén (1918-2006) designed many classics for the Swedish Rörstrand company. One of the most well-known series is Polaris from 1955. It consists of ten flintware bowls and vases. They have geometric forms and screen printed decors in blue, black, and gray colors.
The items are stamped on the lower side with Rörstrand, Polaris, and model number. Which of Lars’ objects is your favorite?
