An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s Mexico Series
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Mexico from the 1960s. It consists of three earthenware objects with gently swelling shapes, rough surfaces, and creamy white geometric relief patterns.
