Stig Lindberg (1954) Salix from Gustavsberg
Stig Lindberg's brilliant series ”Salix” has stylistically pure shapes decorated with black or red willow leaf patterns. It was designed in 1954 at the Gustavsberg Factory in the Stockholm archipelago. The series is still crafted at the same location according to the area's long-standing pottery tradition. An Overview of Stig Lindberg’s Salix series
Stig Lindberg (1916–1981) designed more than 150 models and decors for the Gustavsberg factory. One of the most well-known series is Salix that was designed in 1954. It was manufactured from Xbone china until 1970. The series is adorned with a joyous decor of black or red willow leafs.

The Salix series is once again manufactured at Gustavsberg since 2008. It is still made of bone china according to the area's long-standing pottery tradition. Each object is fired in a kiln three times which results in a solid tableware that is both dishwasher and microwave safe. A portion of the proceeds from every object sold goes to finance new exhibitions at the Gustavsberg's Porcelain Museum.
