Bertil Vallien has designed many classics for the Swedish glassworks in Åfors, Boda, and Kosta. One of the most well-known series is Meridian from 1989. It consists of art and utility glass: Bowls, vases, jugs, and cups. They were crafted by hand with swelling shapes, rolled-in blue color, and linear red decor. The series was manufactured until 1993.
