An Overview of Ingrid Atterberg’s Mimosa Series
Ingrid Atterberg (1920–2008) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1940s to 1960s. One of the most well-known series is Mimosa from 1952. It consists of 17 earthenware objects: bowls, dishes, and vases. They have gently oval forms and hand-painted colorful leaf patterns. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, Sweden, Abg, and the model number. The series was manufactured until 1954. Which of Ingrid’s Mimosa objects is your favorite?
