An Overview of Anna-Lisa Thomson’s Adria and Capri Series
Anna-Lisa Thomson (1905–1952) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1930s–1950s. One of the most well-known series is Adria/Capri from 1951. It consists of 15 earthenware bowls, dishes, and vases. They have gently swelling forms, geometric relief, and blue (Adria) or green (Capri) glaze. The series was manufactured until 1952.
