
The American Howard Smith (1928–2021) was one of the leading designers of Arabia during the late 1900s. One of his best-known series is "Runfree" from the early 1990s. It consists of six stoneware animals with modernistic shapes and monochrome decor. The figurines were named with common American first names and sold in yellow boxes.
