An Overview of Ingrid Atterberg’s Florian Series

Ingrid Atterberg (1920–2008) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1940s to 1960s. One of the most appreciated series is Florian from 1961. It consists of six earthenware dishes and vases. They have sturdy forms, strong yellow glaze, and black abstract decors. 

The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, Sweden, Abg, and the model number. The series was manufactured only in 1961. Which of Ingrid’s Florian objects is your favorite?
