Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known objects are the 8015–8017 wall plaques from 1968. They are made of earthenware with gently rectangular forms, creamy white backgrounds, and turquoise stylistic relief motifs.
