An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s 8015–8017 Wall Plaques

Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known objects are the 8015–8017 wall plaques from 1968. They are made of earthenware with gently rectangular forms, creamy white backgrounds, and turquoise stylistic relief motifs. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was produced only in 1968. Which of Mari’s wall plaques is your favorite?
