
The American Howard Smith (1928–2021) was one of the leading designers of Arabia during the late 1900s. One of his best-known series is "Parvi" (Flock) from the early 1990s. It consists of sex stoneware birds with modernistic shapes and common Finnish names. The decoration is monochrome in white, black, green, blue, yellow, or green.
