An Overview of Hertha Bengtson's Turkos Series
Hertha Bengtson designed Turkos in 1955 during the golden age of Swedish ceramics. The flintware series was then manufactured by the Rörstrand company until 1962. It consists of tea set parts with elegant forms, weaved basket relief, and turquoise glaze.
Turkos shares models with two series: Ceylon (green glaze) and India (yellow glaze). All three series also share black or white pots, plates, sugar bowls, and creamers.
On the lower sides, the Turkos parts are marked with Rörstrand and Sweden. Which of Hertha's objects is your favorite?
