Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most appreciated series is Pistill (Pistil) from 1964. It consists of five earthenware dishes and vases. They have rounded forms, green glaze, and relief decors.
The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1965. Which of Mari’s Pistill objects is your favorite?
