Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Runa (Rune) from 1968. It consists of five earthenware bowls, dishes, and vases. They have orange glazes and geometric relief patterns. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1969. Which of Mari’s Runa objects is your favorite?
