Birger Kaipiainen (1915–1988) designed many classics for the Finnish Arabia company. One of the most appreciated series is Perho (Butterfly) from 1958. It consists of eight earthenware pitchers with modern forms and stylistic decors. They come in four different colors: turquoise, gray, yellow, and blue. The models are designed by Kaj Franck.
