Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Rusticana from 1963. It consists of six earthenware bowls, jars, and vases. They have a gently swelling form, rough surface, and linear relief.
