Josef Ekberg (1877-1945) designed many classics for the Swedish Gustavsberg company. Some of the most well-known objects are the luster glaze pieces that were launched in the 1920s. They are made of flintware, often with geometric forms, mottled green oily surface, and golden details. There are other glaze colors, but they are more rare.
On the lower side, the Luster pieces are usually marked with Gustavsberg and his monogram (JE). They are considered as part of the artistic style Art Deco. The objects were crafted until the 1930s. Which of Josef’s luster glaze objects is your favorite?
