Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Moon from 1956. It consists of six earthenware bowls, candleholders, and vases. They have geometric forms, black glazes, and turquoise linear decors. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1957. Which of Mari’s Moon objects is your favorite?
