Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most appreciated series is Agave from 1960. It consists of seven earthenware bowls and vases. They have modern forms, brown clay, and colorful leaf decor.
The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1961. Which of Mari’s Agave objects is your favorite?
