An Overview of Ester Wallin’s Wall Plaques for Upsala-Ekeby
Ester Wallin (1928-2009) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1960s and 1970s. Among her most well-known objects are the earthenware wall plaques. They have brown clay and colorful motifs from the animal and plant kingdom. The wall plaques are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Ester’s mark (EW).
