Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Mars (March) from 1952. It consists of 16 earthenware bowls and vases. They have milky white glazes and incised relief patterns. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1954. Which of Mari’s Mars objects is your favorite?
