Erik Höglund's metal candleholder with a sturdy form, and four amber brown glass sections. It was designed in the 1960s for the Boda Smide company. A joyous art piece from the Swedish glass legend! This object comes from the contemporary production with traditional methods. Each piece may therefor differ slightly from the sample images. Erik Höglund started working with the smith Axel Strömgren in the late 1950s. The cooperation led to the start of the Boda Smide in 1962. Over the next 11 years, Erik designed many hundreds metal artworks for the company. They were often made of hand-forged iron with decorative details in clear, blue, or brown glass. The expression was joyous, rustic, and folksy. Boda Smide still has a small-scale and traditional production of Erik's design in the local area.
