Anna-Lisa Thomson - Paintings and Poems
Anna-Lisa Thomson (1905–1952) was best known as a potter at the Upsala-Ekeby company. During the years 1933–1952, she was one of the factory's leading artists with classic series such as "Paprika", "Athene", and "Marina". But she always spent the summer months painting on the Swedish West Coast.

Anna-Lisa's paintings exhibited playful and surreal nature motifs with restrained color schemes. She also wrote poems that commented on these paintings. When Anna-Lisa succumbed to sickness at the age of 47, the illustrated poem collection "Eko av dagars ljusa klang" (Echo of the Day Bright Sound) was released. It consisted of a selection of her poems and paintings from the last years.
