Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Ringo from 1965. It consists of eight earthenware bowls, dishes, and vases. They have geometric forms, unglazed brown sections, and black linear decors. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1967. Which of Mari’s Ringo objects is your favorite?
