Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Peru from 1953. It consists of five earthenware bowls and vases. They have milky white glazes, and blue/yellow geometric decors. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1966. Which of Mari’s Peru objects is your favorite?
