An Overview of Oiva Toikka’s Flora Series
Oiva Toikka (1931–2019) has designed many classics for the Finnish glassworks of Nuutajärvi and Iittala. One of the most well-known series is Flora from 1966. It consists uni-colored utility glass with a flower relief and joyous expression. The series comes in five colors: clear glass, dark purple, light purple, gray, and turquoise. Flora was in production until 1991, but a few objects was later relaunched. Which of Oiva’s Flora objects is your favorite?
