Bertil Vallien (1938–) has designed many classics for the Swedish glassworks in Åfors, Boda, and Kosta. One of the most well-known series is "Boda Birds" from 1975. It consists of four ducks, one chicken, one mini bird, and one tern. The rounded figurines were hand-blown and then rolled in polychrome glass powder.
