Signe Persson-Melin (1925–2022) designed many ceramic and glass classics for Swedish companies. One of the most well-known series is Primeur for the Rörstrand. It was designed in 1978 and consisted of tableware pieces with modern forms.
They came in three different color schemes: blue printed decor with terracotta border, golden printed decor with golden border, and unprinted with terracotta border. The lower sides are stamped with Rörstrand, Sweden, Primeur, and Signe Persson-Melin.
The series was manufactured until 1984. Which of Signe’s Primeur pieces is your favorite?
