An Overview of Marianne Westman’s Picknick (Picnic) Series
Marianne Westman designed the ”Picknick” (Picnic) series in 1956 for the Rörstrand factory. The set consisted of about 50 tableware parts ranging from pots and eggcups – to butter boxes and teapots. They were made of flintware with gently rounded shapes and colorful stylistic patterns with inspiration from the flora and fauna. Picknick, with its era-typical expression, was crafted until 1969.
