Monica Backström (1939–2020) designed many classics for the Swedish glassworks in Boda and Kosta. Some of the most well-known objects are the stones from the 1970s. In the normal production, four sculptures of different size, shape, and decor were manufactured.
The stones were all moulded by clear glass and then rolled in colored glass powder. On the surface, they were marked with a Boda or Kosta label. Aside from the normal production, unique and limited stones were also crafted.
