An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s Mona Series
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Mona from 1971. It consists of four earthenware bowls, dishes, and vases. They have rough surfaces, sparsely applied white glazes, and blue inner layers.
