Howard Smith – Ceramics from Arabia

Howard Smith (1928–2021) was one of Finland’s leading ceramic artists in the 20th century. After his art studies in the USA, he started working with a variety of materials and expressions. In the 1980s, he became a prominent designer of kindhearted figurines and artworks with geometric decor for the Arabia factory. Howard’s artistry is represented at numerous museums in the Nordic countries.
