An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s Set Series

Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most appreciated series is Set from 1958. It consists of three earthenware dishes. They have gently quadratic forms, brown clay, and white net relief decors. 

The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1959. Which of Mari’s Set dishes is your favorite?
