Tapio Wirkkala (1915–1985) designed many classics for the German Rosenthal porcelain factory from 1956 and onwards. Some of his most well-known objects came from the company’s Studio-Linie series. They usually have organic forms, unicolored surfaces, and modern expression. Sometimes, golden linear decor adorns the pieces.
Tapio’s Studio-Linie objects were made of casted porcelain. On the lower side, they are usually stamped with Rosenthal, Germany, and T Wirkkala. Which of his ceramic objects is your favorite?
