An Overview of Lisa Larson's Wooden Objects from Sandbergs in Nora

Lisa Larson is most known as a ceramist with a strong association with Gustavsberg. But in the late 1960s, she worked as a freelance wood designer for the Sandberg's store in Nora in central Sweden. Adjacent to the store was a workshop where wooden utility products and interior design were crafted by hand.

Lisa designed figurines, candleholders, and napkin holders for Sandberg's. The wooden objects had rounded geometric shapes, strong colors, and joyous expression. Each model was hand painted in several different color schemes. On the lower side, they were marked "Sandbergs, Nora stad, Sweden, Design Lisa Larson". Production was short-lived due to the high costs.
