An Overview of Anita Nylund’s Familjen Pepparsson Series
Anita Nylund designed many classics for the Jie-Keramik company in the south of Sweden. One of the most well-known series is the Familjen Pepparsson (The Pepparsson Family) series from the 1950s. It consists of three flintware shakers with family theme.
Familjen Pepparsson have geometric forms with printed and hand-painted decor. On the lower side, they are often marked with Jie, Gantofta, Sweden, Familjen Pepparsson, and Design Anita Nylund.
The Pepparsson shakers should have the height 10 cm (child) or 15 cm (father and mother). Unfortunately, there are copies around of the father and mother shakers. They have the height 11 cm with texts on the hats. The copies could have a wooden stand to hang on your wall.
