Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Rubus from 1960. It consists of seven earthenware dishes and vases. They have rough textures and blue/brown triangular patterns. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1962. Which of Mari’s Rubus objects is your favorite?
