An Overview of Heljä Liukko-Sundström’s Brooches
Heljä Liukko-Sundström’s have designed many classics for the Finnish Arabia company. Some of her most well-known objects are the brooches from the 1990s. They are made of earthenware with asymmetric forms.
The colorful motifs are printed and often display flowers and animals. A few brooches were made in special editions for companies and organizations. The back side is marked Heljä, Arabia, and Finland.
