An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s Hedenhös Series
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Hedenhös from 1957. It consists of five earthenware bowls and vases. They have rounded forms, grayish brown backgrounds, and incised rock carving decors.
