Birger Kaipiainen (1915–1988) designed many classics for the Finnish Arabia company in the 1930s to 1980s. One of the most well-known series is Florence from 1984. It consists of five earthenware objects: two plates, two footed plates, and one clock.
Each Florence object comes with two or three color schemes. The nacre-shining decors shows flowers, clocks, and pearls.
