An Overview of Ingrid Atterberg’s Sintergods Series
Ingrid Atterberg (1920–2008) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1940s to 1960s. One of the most well-known series is Sintergods from 1957. It consists of 12 sintered earthenware bowls and vases. Each model was crafted in a few hundred pieces.
The Sintergods objects have classic forms, calm expression and a multitude of unicolored glazes. On the lower side, they are incised with Abg. Which of Ingrid’s Sintergods pieces is your favorite?
