An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s Moské Series

Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Moské (Mosque) from 1967. It consists of six earthenware bowls, dishes, and vases. They have segmented shapes, brown glazes, and linear decors. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1968. Which of Mari’s Moské objects is your favorite?
