An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s Tokyo Series
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Tokyo from 1952. It consists of earthenware bowls and vases. They have red glaze and incised relief patterns.
