Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Luna from 1968. It consists of seven earthenware bowls, dishes, and vases. They have swelling shapes, era-typical colors, and geometric relief patterns. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). The series was manufactured until 1970. Which of Mari’s Luna objects is your favorite?
