An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s Natur Series
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Natur (Nature) from 1971. It consists of earthenware objects with white glazes, leaf reliefs, and yellow inner glazes. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris).
