An Overview of Mari Simmulson’s Eternell Series
Mari Simmulson (1911–2000) designed many classics for the Swedish Upsala-Ekeby company in the 1950s to 1970s. One of the most well-known series is Eternell from 1970. It consists of two earthenware vases with a gentle hourglass form, white glaze, and colorful linear decor. The items are deep stamped on the lower side with UE, model number, and Mari’s mark (MS or Maris). Which of the Eternell vases is your favorite?
