Esteri Tomula – Ceramics from Arabia

Esteri Tomula (1920–1998) was one of Finland’s leading ceramic artists in the 20th century. She was part of the Nordic design tradition aiming for more beautiful every day goods for everybody. After her art studies at the Central School of Art and Design in Helsinki, Esteri worked for the Arabia factory for more than 35 years. She was a prominent designer of warmhearted patterns like Botanica, Krokus, and Pastoraali. Esteri’s artistry is represented at the numerous museums in the Nordic countries.
