
Merete Agergaard (1937–) was one of Denmark’s distinguished ceramic sculptors in the 20th century. She is mostly known for her animal figurines at the Bing & Gröndahl and Royal Copenhagen companies. Merete's artistry is represented at several museums in Denmark.
Merete Agergaard has designed many classics for Danish companies. Some of the most well-known art pieces are the animal figurines produced by Royal Copenhagen. They are made of porcelain with a naturalistic form and hand-painted underglaze decor. Which of Merete’s animals is your favorite?
